All of our pet sitters go through a thorough vetting process before joining Poochy Pets. This includes completing an application form, providing a copy of their ID and residential address, and submitting pet sitting and previous work references, which are carefully checked.

Sitters are also required to consent to background and criminal record checks. They then attend an interview, and if approved, complete training with Poochy Pets to ensure they meet our standards of gentle, loving care.

• If the sitter leaves by 10am on the last day, there is no additional fee.
• If the sitter leaves between 10am and 12pm, there is a half-day fee.
• If the sitter leaves after 12pm, there is a full-day fee.

Why do we have a last day fee?
To properly compensate our amazing sitters for the time and energy they put into each day.

Daily visits are short, structured visits once or twice a day (Usually +/- 1 hour per visit).
Fur-Babysittings are longer stays (2+ hours), perfect if your pet needs extra company, supervision, or care.

We love big fur families! There is no extra fee for up to 4 dogs. If you have more than 4 dogs, a small additional fee may apply to ensure each one receives proper care and attention.

Yes, many of our sitters are comfortable administering medication — just let us know your pet’s routine. Please note that this is sitter-dependent and there is no additional charge for this service.

Absolutely. We offer a complimentary meet-and-greet so you and your pets can get to know your sitter ahead of time. This helps everyone feel more comfortable.

Yes, Poochy Pets is fully insured. Your home and pets are in safe, professional hands.

Poochy Pets offers loyalty and extended stay discounts as a thank-you to our returning clients. These rewards are provided as a goodwill benefit through Poochy Pets and do not affect sitter pay.
